Aqualandia is a magical place that is full of fun thanks to many of its characteristics: its attractions; the variety of services that it offers; the responsible, dedicated, enthusiastic staff; and the most important –something that inspires us to improve every day– the people themselves who visit us year after year, entrusting their vacations to us. But it is also true that Aqualandia would not be the same if it weren’t located amongst some of the best places in Spain for a water park to be able to prosper and develop favorably.
The very well-known city of Benidorm is the site for this water oasis known as Aqualandia, which, likewise, is one of the municipalities of the Marina Baixa region; in fact, it is the largest city of the region. Benidorm is popular because of its high level of tourism in practically all seasons of the year. Said tourism undoubtedly increases during the summer months. It is also a city which is much loved by those who visit it and enjoy its services regularly — after all, Benidorm has a lot to offer.
Firstly, a key factor as to why it has become the “soul” of the province is its climate: Benidorm enjoys more than 3,000 hours of sun a year. Its average temperature is around 18 ºC. In summer, the temperatures are relatively mild, with highs being between 28 ºC and 33 ºC and lows ranging from 18 ºC to 23ºC. With those temperatures, who wouldn’t want to make a refreshing stop at a park like Aqualandia?
Likewise, the food is an aspect that undoubtedly needs highlighted. This is a city which houses different cultures and peoples from all parts of the world; therefore, the great variety of bars and restaurants that we can find here offer a wide variety of foods — both national and international cuisines are available. Likewise, we cannot deny that the fact that the city is in the Mediterranean, especially in the coast, provides certain advantages in terms of diet: from creamy rice stew to fishermen’s rice served with fresh fish which was recently caught in the bay. The city always has seasonal fruits and vegetables and one of our best products, olive oil, also known as liquid gold. This is a city which is traditionally touristic and has slowly adapted to that fact, modifying and innovating in terms of its hours and what it has to offer.
With regard to places for leisure, you can choose from spending an entire day with your family or your group of friends to going out at night as a couple — and everything in between. National and international tourists who are younger normally choose packs in which the amusement parks are included. In the Benidorm area, several parks can be found such as Terra Mítica, Mundomar, and, of course, Aqualandia. In a prior entry in our blog, we spoke of the package tickets that you can buy for these parks. Meanwhile, tourists who are a bit older typically choose calmer activities such as going to the beach or taking a walk around the area.
What is clear is that this is a city in which the rhythm of life does not skip a beat and there are always many possible activities to be done. It has a varied cultural agenda and a wide array of services for all ages and preferences. If what you are looking for is a place where you can spend your vacation in an unforgettable way, Benidorm is one of the best options. And if what you’re looking for is to cool off by adding fun and a good price together, Aqualandia is your place.
